Baby Dedication Sign-Up
“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Psalm 127.3
At TAG Church we believe Baby Dedication is an important time for every Christian family. Honoring the Lord with this decision is pivotal. It must never become a religious tradition or merely a time for us to show off our little blessing. It is something much more.
Baby Dedication is a time for self-analysis and accountability, a time of determination and promise. There is an actual vow that takes place as you stand not only before your pastor and fellow believers, but as you stand before the Lord Jesus Christ. This vow is as sacred as the words spoken at conversion or the vows spoken in a marriage ceremony. These words are covenant words. This vow is a solemn promise made to God that expresses a determined posture and intention. Just as Jesus set His face to go to Jerusalem (Luke 9.51), we too, must have that same undaunted, undying resolution toward leadership responsibilities.
Raising children is a life task that we cannot take lightly. In as much as we need God’s wisdom and power, He in turn needs our lives and our will to line up with His. Success in child rearing is unachievable apart from God and His Word. It is also unattainable without the concerted effort of the parent, or guardians to live a separated Christian lifestyle.
